Dr Veronica Matthews is a health systems researcher from the Quandamooka community, Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) based in Lismore at the University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH), The University of Sydney. She has over 20 years’ experience working in the Indigenous health sector including policy development, program delivery and research. She holds a PhD in Environmental Toxicology, Master of Applied Epidemiology and Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours). Her work centres on improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander holistic health care systems (health of Country, community and family) through quality improvement, systems-thinking and community-based participatory research.
