Professor Christopher (Chris) Nolan is a clinician, scientist, teacher and policy advisor specialising in diabetes. He trained in Medicine at the University of Melbourne and Endocrinology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, completing a PhD on glucose metabolism and insulin action in pregnancy. He undertook advanced islet beta‑cell research training at the University of Montreal before joining The Canberra Hospital and the ANU Medical School in 2005. His leadership helped establish ACT Health Diabetes Services as a National Centre of Excellence. At ANU, his research focuses on beta‑cell failure, personalised diabetes care, and maternal and child health.
