HEAL 2024 Conference
Explore the 4th annual international conference that ran from 26th-28th November 2024.

Connecting people and ideas
The HEAL Network hosted its annual conference from 26-28 November 2024, building on the success of previous events. With the theme “Healing with Country for a Sustainable Future for Everyone,” HEAL 2024 provided an inclusive, decentralised platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share knowledge and ideas.
Over three days, the conference addressed key health, climate, and environmental challenges in Australia, the Asia-Pacific, and beyond. Discussions highlighted HEAL’s role in supporting Australia’s first National Health and Climate Strategy, promoting sustainable healthcare, and fostering climate-resilient communities.
Aligned with HEAL’s commitment to elevating Australian First Nations leadership and Healing with Country, the event featured inspiring case studies from communities on the frontlines of climate change. Delivered in a hybrid format, HEAL 2024 enabled participation online and in-person across eight regional hubs, connecting delegates nationally and internationally.
