Dr Cassandra Sedran-Price is a proud Muruwari/Gangugari woman who completed her PhD in Marine Science at the University of Tasmania. She has an interdisciplinary background spanning climate ecology, natural resource management, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and national data development.
Cassandra is currently a Senior Researcher at the University Centre for Rural Health, University of Sydney. Her research explores the intersections between Country, culture, and health, embedding this understanding across both environmental and public health research. She is dedicated to advancing Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Indigenous Data Governance across academia, research institutions, environmental research, and the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums).
