Priorities
Evidence needs identified for Victoria include:
- Recovery from storms, heatwaves, floods and bushfires in Victoria, with a focus on:
- Community resilience and mental health
- Financial hardship and equity
- Food security
- Energy and housing security
2. Evidence to support the Victorian strategic agenda in relation to our changing climate.
3. Victorian specific cost-benefit analyses for climate-focussed health interventions.
4. Systematic and scoping reviews of evidence (identifying sources of inequity and targets for prevention and mitigation).
5. Home environment monitoring for indoor air quality, mould etc – including amongst flood affected communities in Victoria. (vii) Simulation modelling of health gains associated with climate change policies, including estimates of the costs to the health system.
6. Surveys and focus groups to gain information on community needs and develop implementation strategies.

Designing Green and Blue Spaces for Health and Heat: From Evaluation Framework to Practical Guidelines
Join us and explore how cities can effectively design green and blue spaces to support public health and climate resilience. The presentation introduces the HEALeD-GBS framework, a design oriented approach for evaluating the potential health impacts of green and blue space interventions throughout the design process.
Focusing on real-world examples, the session highlights how thoughtful urban design can address heat challenges, improve liveability, and create sustainable, healthier, and more climate-resilient cities.
