A non-Indigenous person born in Boorloo with Irish, Scottish, Germanic, and English heritage, Emma lives and works on unceded Whadjuk Noongar Boodja with her wife, four tiny dogs, and six less-tiny chickens.
Emma is medical doctor, researcher, academic, educator, and community organiser who has been working at local, state, and national levels at the boundaries of Human and planetary health since 2014.
Emma is a senior Research Officer in the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia. In this role she assists the HEAL WA Project team in the HEAL WA Network and Hub events and is involved in transdisciplinary community-led participatory action research on Climate change and Health and Wellbeing.
